Na začátku června jsme oslovili předsedkyni Akademie věd ČR prof. Zažímalovou, že by bylo dobré trochu víc promyslet a ovlivnit komunikaci vědců vůči veřejnosti, mimo jiné vzhledem k pandemii covidu-19. No a tady je výsledek: 24. 11. se na Univerzitě Hradec Králové uskutečnila společná akce Královéhradeckého kraje, Akademie věd a UHK s názvem Mlčeti zlato, aneb jak komunikovat složitá témata. Kulatého stolu se účastnili na jedné straně vědci (profesoři Šeďová a Petr, doc. Beránek, dr. Šlerka) a na druhé straně novináři Čermák a Vaňura. Skvěle moderoval Jakub Novák z UHK. Občas to mezi účastníky pěkně jiskřilo – posuďte sami:
A kdo nemá čas, tady je stručný výcuc:
- žijeme v bublině, „obyčejné lidi“ zajímá něco jiného, potřebují jiný styl komunikace, otázka jak je zaujmout,
- neumíme mluvit „jejich jazykem“,
- vědci jsou zahledění do své odbornosti a nechtějí, nevědí, jak komunikovat,
- někteří se naopak nestydí komunikovat i věci, ke kterým nemají odbornost (covid),
- novináři chtějí rychlé informace a lákavé titulky – věda je zdlouhavá, přesná, nudná,
- Šlerka – věda není sexy,
- Čermák – v lidech ale je pořád ta zvídavost,
- Šeďová – měli bychom umět komunikovat metodu vědecké práce,
- Šeďová – učitelství je velmi sofistikovaná práce,
- naučit vědce mluvit s médii (proč a jak),
- ale jak je to naučit?
- najít prostředníka, který bude „překládat“ = specializované novináře,
- atraktivní titulek přitáhne pozornost, pak musí být i zajímavý a dobře napsaný obsah (viz články prof. Petra)
- když nebudeme mluvit my, budou slyšet „oni“,
- Beránek – vědci jsou pod dohledem kolegů,
- Petr – máme týden metod vědy AV ČR,
- musíme se naučit spolu mluvit – spolupracovat s novináři + vědci,
- Šlerka – kritické myšlení neznamená ověřovat informace, to nikdo z nás nedokáže, musíme ověřovat zdroje,
- Petr – jak odhalit „nevědu“ – a) zdroj b) kompetence autora c) konsensus,
- neumíme komunikovat svůj příběh – už od dětství,
- Čermák – pojďme spolu „radostně nesouhlasit“.
